The Golf Courses in Phu Quoc
Phu Quoc currently has two principal courses for visiting golfers.
Vinpearl Golf Phu Quoc
Vinpearl is the island's established championship golf experience, set among tropical forest in northern Phu Quoc.
The current official course information lists the course at 7,038 yards, par 72, designed by IMG Worldwide, with tee times currently shown between 06:00 and 15:00.
It is particularly suited to golfers looking for an established resort-course experience, anyone staying in the north of the island, first-time golf visitors to Phu Quoc, or travellers already spending time around the wider Vinpearl area.
Eschuri Vung Bau Golf
Eschuri offers a different round on Phu Quoc's north-western side.
Current official course information lists an 18-hole, par-72 layout measuring 7,508 yards, designed by IMG and located in the Vung Bau area.
Its transition between forest and coastal scenery creates a clear contrast with Vinpearl.
Eschuri is especially appealing to golfers looking for a newer Phu Quoc course, dramatic scenery, a different island golf experience, or a second round as part of a multi-course trip.
Should You Play Vinpearl or Eschuri?
For many golfers, this is the first question.
The simplest answer is: if your schedule allows it, play both.
The experiences are different enough that one does not simply duplicate the other.
Vinpearl delivers the more established tropical resort-course experience, while Eschuri offers a newer course with a distinctive Vung Bau setting.
If you only have enough time for one round, your choice should depend on: where you're staying, your playing level, available tee times, budget, the type of scenery and course style you prefer, and how much travelling you want to do.

What Does Golf Cost in Phu Quoc?
There isn't one fixed Phu Quoc golf price.
Rates can vary depending on the course, weekday or weekend, Vietnamese public holidays, season, current promotions, number of holes, transport needs and whether you require rental equipment.
The total cost of a golf day may include the green fee, caddie, buggy, caddie tip, club hire and transfers.
Because promotions and rates change, GolfPQ keeps detailed pricing on one maintained page rather than leaving old figures scattered throughout the website.

Should You Book in Advance?
Where possible, yes. Booking ahead is especially sensible during busier Phu Quoc tourism periods, weekends, Vietnamese public holidays, popular morning tee-time windows and group golf trips.
If you're already on the island, still contact us. Last-minute tee-time options can sometimes be possible.
When Is the Best Time to Play Golf in Phu Quoc?
Golf is possible throughout the year, but Phu Quoc's tropical climate changes considerably by season.
In broad terms, November through April is the drier period and peak travel season, while May through October is wetter.
- November to April โ Generally the most popular period for a dedicated Phu Quoc golf holiday. Tourism demand is also higher, so booking earlier is sensible.
- May to October โ The wetter part of the year. That does not mean every golf day is lost to rain, but conditions can change quickly.
Where Should Golfers Stay?
You do not need to stay inside a golf resort to play either course. GolfPQ can arrange transfers from accommodation around the island, so the best area depends on the type of holiday you want outside golf.
- North Phu Quoc / Grand World โ Good for reducing travel time to the northern golf area. Approximately 5 minutes to Vinpearl, 10 minutes to Eschuri.
- Vung Bau โ Quieter north-west setting and particularly convenient for Eschuri (approx. 25 minutes to Duong Dong).
- Ong Lang โ Popular with travellers who prefer a quieter resort environment while keeping access to restaurants and other areas.
- Duong Dong โ Better suited to visitors who want the island's main town and more everyday local life nearby. Approximately 30 minutes to Vinpearl, 25 minutes to Eschuri.
- Long Beach / An Thoi (South) โ Large range of accommodation. Approximately 1 hour to Vinpearl, 50 minutes to Eschuri.
Is Phu Quoc a Good Golf Holiday Destination?
Phu Quoc works particularly well for travellers who want golf to be part of the holiday rather than the entire holiday. A morning round can be combined with beaches, resorts, restaurants, island activities, spa, family time and the night market.
The destination suits couples, families, golf groups, short golf breaks and wider Vietnam itineraries.
